Natural Medicine
Natural medicine vs. conventional medicine?
What are the differences?
Natural medicine is a system that approaches healing differently than
conventional medicine. For one, conventional medicine considers you
healthy as long as you are not sick and your tests are in the "normal"
range, despite the fact that you are having obvious symptoms of
discomfort.
Natural medicine considers you to be healthy when your body, mind, and
spirit are harmonious, in balance and free of symptoms. When these are
in balance, there is a strong sense of well being
Conventional medicine treats everyone who has the same disorder or
symptom with the same pharmaceutical medication, while natural
medicine offers personalized supplements and other natural treatments
based according to nutritional needs of the body. It treats all the
systems of the body, mind and spirit as a whole and never treats just
one part as independent from the whole as does conventional medicine
Natural methods heal the body over a period of time and require
patience and participation. The therapies are most effective in
conjunction with other natural remedies such as dietary changes,
vitamin and mineral supplementation, de-toxing treatments, herbal
supplements, acupuncture and other forms of holistic healing.
Conventional medicine does not consider the bodies’ energy systems to
be valid and treatable. Treatment is restricted to the physical body only
Conventional medicine has excellent diagnostic and emergency medical
procedures which can save lives.
Natural medicine requires time, discipline and 100% participation from
the patient on all levels. The person has to have the will to want get
better and be willing to make the necessary changes to promote
wellness in the body, mind and spirit
In today's modern society, everyone wants the quick fix, fast food, fast
service and “pop the pill” to make the symptoms disappear.
Conventional medicine accommodates this by providing relief from
discomfort and by allowing some comfort in long term illness. Therefore
it is a medicine of convenience. A good choice for those who do not
want to participate in the healing process
Unless the patient is willing to make the necessary dietary and lifestyle
changes the healing is stifled and the body continues to decline with
age. Natural medicine nurtures an active healthy lifestyle with a positive
approach to the many stresses of modern living. If we take the time,
the results are amazing, just like the results on a test. Give yourself the
time to study the subject and you will know the answers required to
pass the test. We all have the answers within. All we need to do is
listen. Open your mind to yourself and you will learn how to heal the
body.
The gift of self love.
Each day there are reasons to find a deeper connection with ourselves,
to give ourselves the gift of love.
Looking in the mirror and saying,” today I give to you the healing of
love, through my eyes I see the beauty I behold”. Give yourself this
affirmation at the start of each day. Heal the pain and fear of love by
creating a new love, YOURS.
“Today I am free to create the love that I need to be happy, and to
bring myself into harmony with my body, mind and spirit.”
If you take the time to give this gift to yourself, the negative
experiences surrounding you will seem lessoned. You will be empowered
to enjoy your life more fully and have more energy.
A simple thought can change the way you feel about so many things,
such as: I am a strong confident person. I am able to create all that I
need to be happy in this lifetime.
This thought will assist you in finding the energy, power and focus to
do more for yourself.
Remember you are worthy as well. Not only does everyone else deserve
to have happiness, you do as well.
Think for a moment of the happiness you can achieve with your mind,
your heart and your body if you believe you deserve it.
Today begin with giving yourself the gift of love Tell yourself, I deserve
to love and be loved.
Friendship
Do we all know what it feels like to have a friend, be it our mother,
father, sister or brother. At some point we have all had a friend. It feels
great to know that there is someone who loves us “just because”, and
that there is someone in this world that we can rely on, and count on
when times are tough, or sad.
How do you cultivate a good honest friendship?
Be there. Be there whenever your friend calls upon you, even if you feel
you want to be some where else. Be there.
If he or she calls you in need, remember this is your chance to prove
your unconditional love. If you have said something you feel bad about
ask them to forgive you. If you have lied to them, clear it up, tell the
truth.
Don’t let the simple issues of life take away what is so pure and perfect
in many ways.
A friend will be there when no-one else wants to be A friend will not
judge, not demean or belittle, a friend will build you and make you know
you are worthy.
You are a friend if you can look at yourself and know that you are there
for someone and they are part of your heart.
Friendship has no price, no ulterior motive, just love.
A friend can lead you on a path that teaches your spirit to be free. I
love my friends.
I love that I am a friend.
Here is a poem written by one of my most favourite friends, Sue Weaver,
she has written a book of poetry to share with all of us, here is a
sample of her loving friendship and divine gift.
OUR FRIENDSHIP
Our friendship's like a warm embrace
Which wraps around my heart
It lives within my mind and soul
We'll never be apart.
I think of you when life seems grim
My worries disappear
The dark gives way to brilliant light
And then I have no fear.
Our friendship has no boundaries
We do not place conditions
I give to you all that's within
I have no inhibitions.
Join me on my journey's quest
Share the beauty that I see
Which lies beyond each bend ahead
My friend you're part of me.
Fear
I define the emotion of fear as- A False Emotion Appearing Real.
There are so many reasons we are fearful. It seems that once we
discover a fear our (ego*) gets a hold of it and takes control and any
time we are weak the fear creeps in and makes us weaker.
How can we release fear?
As I have directed below, fear is but a false emotion. Is there reason
to fear what our mind has created, or do we fear that our mind has
created this emotion.
We are all capable of letting go of our fears; we need only to believe we
can. If the fear is of heights what is it that we fear if we have never
been to a high spot?
So many of us create fear without reason, fear of not being accepted, so
we never venture out and into new groups. Fear of letting go of the
past, in fear that there will never be anything as good in the future.
We fear so many different things, and usually without even experiencing
what we are fearing.
Say for instance you were in an elevator and you suddenly became
fearful because there was a bump in the movement. This is a real fear,
there is potential danger. This is something that is true and tangible.
If the same happened and you became fearful “just because” without
anything other than the mind creating fear out of nothing at all, or a
story told to you or a news clip, this is not tangible not true, just your
mind creating fear.
Can you tell your mind to let it go, to drop it, to see beyond the fear,
and to not be so fearful.
Absolutely, but how many of us take the time to let go of our fears? We
mostly live with our fears lurking inside of our minds, never addressing
them until they are all present and in control of our emotional state.
Learn this lesson, we cannot change what was There is no way to go
back We can only change the now If we are fearful of something that is
real, then we are only able to take control over that moment. If we are
fearful of something that was, we cannot release that past, only accept
that you will not recreate the same events in the future on in the now
moment in time.
Every time you get on an elevator it will not fall to the ground, if so
there would be no elevators.
Therefore your fear of elevators is related to the past, not the present,
let your mind know that you are in control of the false emotion and you
will not accept the control. You yourself, your strong conscious mind are
taking over and you are not allowing the past fear to control your
journey of freedom Choose to be free from the fear and the ego will let
go and become weak to your conscious control.
You are capable of being fearless.
Once I was fearful of going into large stadiums with many people, I
heard a story about a group of people dying due to a fight and fire, I
had a difficult time to accept that is was the past. I took control of
my mind’s created fear and now can be in any size building without
fear.
I am free from the mind’s ability to create fear out of past
experiences. I live now in the strength of the conscious mind.
* EGO (The perception of the mind created by our training,
education, religion, etc, The what was, not the what is.)
